About This Blog
Hi, I’m David—writer, thinker, and serial ranter when the world calls for it (which, let’s face it, is most days).
Utilitopia is my little corner of the internet where I imagine what society could look like if we actually cared about maximizing human wellbeing—not just GDP. I write about everything from Universal Basic Income and automation to education reform, economic justice, and why centrist politics often feel like a beige wallpaper over a crumbling wall.
I believe we can build a better future—not a utopia exactly, but a utilitopia: a society grounded in reason, compassion, and evidence-based policy. I’m not here to blindly cheer for any political party. I’m here to challenge tribalism, question the status quo, and explore bold ideas that just might make life better for everyone (yes, even your least favorite uncle who thinks climate change is a hoax).
When I’m not writing about politics and economics, I’m coding for fun, diving into philosophy, or trying to figure out why people still think trickle-down economics works.
If you’re tired of doomscrolling and ready to think about how we could fix things—without falling asleep halfway through—you’re in the right place.
